Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy

The Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CCBT)is a training, research, and treatment clinic that is affiliated with the University of Hawai‘i and is staffed by clinical psychologists, post-doctorate fellows, and graduate students. The Child Division of the Center (C-CCBT) currently offers assessment and treatment programs for youth with a range of emotional and behavioral problems including ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma and oppositional behavior. Comprehensive mental health assessments conducted at C-CCBT incorporate the use of semi-structured interviews and standardized measures of child report, parent report and reports from other informants (e.g., teachers, pediatricians). C-CCBT staff also conduct psycho-educational evaluations for school aged youth and provide an array of in-school consultation and interventions services from universal prevention and early intervention to individual and group therapy. Psychosocial treatments provided at the center are empirically-based and tailored to the needs of the child. Assessments and treatment arranged by the State of Hawai‘i Departments of Education or Health are free for clients. Self-referred clients are offered a sliding fee scale. No third party insurance is accepted.
